Cultural Dance Class
Iconic dances from Cameroon's regions, keeping culture alive through movement.
Young Cameroonians · Edmonton, Canada · 18+
We are the Cameroonian Youth Association of Edmonton. A family building real lives in this city without ever putting down where we come from. The dances, the kitchen, the festival stages, the conference rooms, the finish lines. This is home, and it is going somewhere.
Our Roots
Born from a simple truth: no young Cameroonian in Edmonton should have to build a life here alone, or do it quietly. We grow louder, prouder and more organised every season.
Our Identity · Who We Are
CYAE is where Edmonton's young Cameroonians stop being strangers to each other. Anglophone and francophone, every region of the Continent, one family in the North.
Our gatherings carry the food, the music, the languages and the laughter of home. Our ambition carries us further: into classrooms, careers, studios and stages across this city. We don't choose between where we're from and where we're going. We bring both, at full volume.
To unite Cameroonian youth in Edmonton through community growth and empowerment. We are building a generation that is culturally rooted, professionally rising, and impossible to ignore.
What We Run
Eight programs, run by members, for members. The rhythm of CYAE life all year long.

Especially welcome. Most members arrived exactly like that. Start with a Meet & Greet or Suya & Chill, and join so the family knows your name from day one.
Yes. Many events are open to the community, like the Thanksgiving Art Expo on October 24, 2026. Some, like the General Assembly, are members-only. Come once as a guest; stay as family.
The next photo, the next dance class, the next chapter. It should have you in it.
